Porsche Holding Salzburg is the largest and most successful automotive distributor in Europe. In 2019 Porsche, as part of the Volkswagen Group, started to implement an internal environmental management system, called Environmental Compliance Management System (ECMS) which is aligned with ISO 14001.The headquarter in Salzburg is in charge to roll out the Environmental Compliance Management System in all 27 countries of the group until 2023. Creating and rolling out processes to improve environmental protection throughout the company in heterogenic markets with different initial situations was the challenge. The identification of viable solutions for all countries which fulfill the requirements is key in this project.
